Some photography purists resent photo manipulation, but others enjoy how it has opened up photography to new people and new ideas. Caras Ionut is a Romanian photographer and digital artist who makes a great case for digital art and photography. He has created an extensive body of images that are beautiful, enchanting – and impossible.

Ionut says that his imagination and his work are captivated by dreams and by the autumn and winter seasons. Although positive dreams are a big theme in his work, he says he also likes “to visit the darker side of what people may see of dreams, not necessarily what one would see as negative, but possibly a dream that one could not quite understand or may feel alone.”

He does a pretty good job of creating a dream-like mood in his works. The combination of soft and hazy colors with often impossible subjects makes for beautiful compositions.

One interesting note is that, besides just offering prints of his beautiful works on his website, Ionut also offers numerous Photoshop tutorials and classes. If you like his work or if you’d like some help with trying to create images of your own dreams, we suggest checking him out!  Source: carasdesign.com

  43. The other night I had this dream where I was at a party in a basement siting next to this guy I used to go to school with, however in reality I don’t really know him that well.

So in the first dream we were just sitting,
then I dreamt in that dream that I was kissing him
and finally in a dream inside that one, i dreamt that I ran into my room, got my blue notebook out and starting writing about my dream

then I finally woke up in reality.

    What could this mean?

  44. I had a dream where me and my friend were interested in lucid dreaming. I fell asleep somewhere in my dream. The dream I had in my dream was I was flying a spaceship and I was inside it. I than said to myself this was a dream. Everything seemed a little more clearer but not to much. I didn’t notice if I had any control as the only thing that seemed to change was the clarity when I said that. Is it possible to have a lucid dream If I’m dreaming that I’m having a dream?

  45. I keep dreaming of the same friend, but most of the dreams he is in, i always seem to ignore him… does anyone have any ideas what it could mean?

  46. I love dreams, but sometimes I don’t dream. How can you make yourself dream?
Ok I get it, we all dream, then how do we remember our dreams??
