Animal Omelets

In Japan, there’s a dish called “omurice” (オムライス). It’s a type of omelette that is filled with rice. Kids, in particular, love it. There’s a way to make this tasty meal cuter: add animal characters.

Here’s what omurice looks like: It’s rice wrapped in an omelette with ketchup or a sauce.

  1. A. a cow which gives out chocolate milk
    B. a chicken that lays eggs with cheese in it (for omelette)
    C. a talking dog
    D. a horse that includes a GPS navigator on its back

    just bored =_=

  2. Remembering those sacred times when God killed all the innocent firstborn unless they smeared animal bodily fluid all over their doors, or the time when God demanded a human sacrifice to himself to save us from himself.

  3. Just wondering because I know quite a few Hindus who eat Mayonnaise but don’t eat pure egg like just eating an omelette. Any religous reasons for not doing so?
    Thanks.

  4. I really need the history behind a Mexican Omelette.
I can’t find it under wikipedia…so if you have any idea where i can get this information please tell me!! I need it for a spanish project!! thanks so much =]

  5. I’m on a diet and on a mission to clear up my whiteheads on my cheeks and forehead. What should I eat that wont cause whiteheads and won’t make me gain weight? Would an omelette filled with veggies do the trick? Is there anything I can eat that wont take so long to prepare?

  6. I’m not sure how to tell my parents. I was already a vegetarian on and off before (most recent was a year ago, when I went veg for eight whole months until I had to stop because I wasn’t getting enough protein), so automatically whenever I DO tell them I want to be a vegetarian, they chuckle and roll their eyes and think it’s a phase I’m going to grow out of.
But this time, I’m sure I’m going to STAY veg. This time, I’ve done my research. This time, I know how to get protein and other stuff I need the right way. How can I explain that to them without them trying to slip bacon in my veggie omelette or thinking I’m going to grow out of it?

  7. I passed a trailerful of cattle on my way home from work today. The stock was on it’s way to be slaughtered.

The gaps in the side were big enough to see their eyes. I suddenly felt very sad about the prospect of their imminent fate.

I’ve always enjoyed steak before but today made me rethink my diet.

Please don’t answer if you are not going to take this question seriously.

  8. My friend makes sushi, only neither of us eats raw animal flesh, so she cooks the fish before she rolls it in the rice and stuff. If the fish is cooked, it’s the opposite of sushi, so my mom says. Is there a word or phrase for “sushi” if one cooks the fish?

  9. Hi! I just recently became a vegetarian (i love animals) and i was wondering some delicious meals i could make that do not include aritifical meat (tofu ect.) thanks! vegetarian NOT vegan

  10. I already have allrecipes.com’s vegetarian section

  12. I’ve recently become a ‘veggie’. I tried ‘Quorn’ sausages, but I hated them! I’m guessing I won’t like other fake meats by Quorn either. I have been surviving on omelette, but I need some help.
What can I eat as a Veggie, that will give me protein?

  13. Hi. I’m 15 years old, and I have been a complete vegetarian since I was 10 (no meat, poultry, gelatin, and other by-products). Two years ago I decided to become a vegan, but my doctor told my parents that I was too young, so they didn’t let me. As a strong animal rights activist, I feel like a hypocrite eating dairy products, since I’m aware of the extreme abuse of dairy-producing animals on factory farms. I’ve decided to become a vegan again, but I was looking at a list of what they can’t eat, and it’s overwhelming! What can I eat as a substitute for cheese, milk, eggs, etc.?

  14. how many calories, proteins, vitamins in a fruit salad(strawberry, apples, blueberries, kiwis)
can you also help me make a reason why fruit salads, plain omelet, mashed potatoes, soy milk(how many calories, proteins, vitamins??) are healthy/good

  16. i mean, if they didn’t continue to eat all of the vegetation, there’d be a lot more environment to go round, right?

  17. Does denny’s serve anything vegetarian?? Is the veggie-cheese omelette or the butermilk pancakes vegetarian. I am just woundering how the cook them. (for example mcdonalds fries, how they cook them in like animal grease stuff). Are they vegetarain completely. And anything at fast food chain that is vegetarian??
Vegetarians can eat eggs and cheese, i feel like i have to explain this to everyone around me, all my friends say this. That will be vegan if i don’t eat egg or cheese. I am not trying to be mean, but it gets annoying. For the past 2 years of being a vegetarian, no one understands it.

  19. You created a character (maybe an animal?) and the only way to get free food was from omelette mountain. I remember a shop where you could buy and sell things such as shoes. You had to feed your character, possibly had your own shop to raise an income. More cartoony than final fantasy or sims.
You had to bid for items to buy them, against other gamers i presume. and you also sold things. the only free thing was omelette. From omelette mountain. Your avatar would tell you if it didn’t like something.

I think it was also in 2D.

  21. I usually take a ham sandwich, but now since im a new vegetarian i need more choices. I need something that doesn’t need to be warmed up, my only idea right now is guacomole?

  22. I know that there aren’t many, but still im a vegetarian and i want to know. Could you give me the name and kind of explain it?

  24. I’ve been trying really hard for a while now to eat better, for my own health and for the sake of innocent animals too. Lately I’ve been trying to be vegetarian, but I find if I let myself eat a vegetarian diet, which still includes animal products like butter, eggs and cheese, then I may over-eat these items (which to me are basically the same as eating the flesh of animals anyway–I really find it harder to give up eggs and cheese than any meat). And if I do that, then what is really the point of being vegetarian, if it is as if I were still eating meat, only in a different form?? Do I need to find substitutes for these animal products? Help me transition!!

  29. Who in their right mind would ever consider cooking a Chicken omelette.

Its the most disgusting thing to do on this entire earth.

To get an animal, and cook it inside its own babies is disgusting.
Anyone agree that chicken omelettes are disgusting
Edit: Unfertilised eggs are one in the same.

Still comes out of a chicken/bird

  37. I’m a division 1 track athlete that specializes in the jumps (high/long/triple jump)
I’m not a full blown out vegetarian yet I eat meat sometimes (mainly seafood so I guess I’m a pescetarian. every so often I eat chicken but that was over a month ago and I felt sick when I did so I prob won’t be eating chicken again) So I gave myself a challenge to not eat any meat for a weekend and that weekend turned into a week (today is Day 7) I don’t really eat a lot of dairy products due bc I have somewhat lactose intolerant
Over the past 7 days some of my meals and snacks consisted of: Caesar salads (no dressing), stir fry veggies, brown rice, black beans, eggplant stromboli, vegetable dumplings, egg white veggie omelette, whole wheat toast/english muffins/bagels, peanut butter, naturade soy protein shake, lots of fruits (oranges, cantaloupe, pineaapple, strawberries, apples), dry roasted peanuts (sea salted), soy nuts, dates, seeds, clif builder’s bars, almond milk, cereal bars like nutrigrain and nature valley, dried mango, raisins, and lots of water and tea and my treats on my sweet tooth day were: starbucks chai lattes in soy and hot tamales candy
My assistant coach (who is fairly young graduated college 2 years ago) was basically shaming vegetarian/veganism and saying how bad it is for athletes because they don’t get enough nutrients and are at a higher chance of getting injuries. and he said how his old college coach wouldn’t recruit anyone who was a vegetarian bc in the past he had too many vegetarian athletes that were always injured.
I talk multi vitamins daily. I do have shin splints, but I get them every year and that’s a minor injury you suck it up for at this level in track (in the past years I ate more meat in my diet).
Is my coach right? and if not should I change up diet to ensure I get enough vitamins and calcium and such? bc to be honest I think Day 8 is going to be another meatless day as well. meat isn’t a necessity to me anymore especially chicken and red meat that makes me sick now.
