Missing 3-year-old Found Inside Arcade Claw Machine

A missing 3-year-old boy was found playing with the toys inside a claw machine at a bowling alley Tuesday.

A customer at Madsen’s Bowling and Billiards in Lincoln, Neb., spotted the toddler and told employees, who called in police and the vending machine company that services the claw to help get the boy out.

Meanwhile, the child’s mother, 24, had also called police after realizing her son had escaped through an unlocked apartment door while she was in the bathroom.

The boy was safely freed from the claw machine and returned to his mom, who police say acted quickly and appropriately.

  6. So Lollicup always has this claw machine that actually grabs the toys inside unlike the cheap ones that barely touch them. My friend has always wanted this japanese toy that i can’t find anywhere else but i can never win it for them. The thing is that it’s head is twice the size of it’s body and it’s pretty heavy. If it matters, the claw is three pronged. Thanks.
Forgot to mention. It’s just one toy in the middle of the machine. Also, its not that big.

  7. So I was at the movies and decided to try out the claw machine. In front of me, this girl was going crazy with it. She had like 10 bucks. She would get one each time. On her last dollar, she got THREE toys! Then she gave my little sister one, because she was nice like that. Is there, like, a strategy to getting more than one toy?

  15. I see people who win the claw Machine all the time…
    how do they do it??

  16. I have a singer 9410. timing is done. new needle bobbin and holder and the needle is still hitting the claw area when is goes down.
When I saw claw I mean the thing on the bottom of the sewing machine by the bobbin that catches the top thread. I have many replacement needles and it still hits. I don’t want to take it to the shop because they are charging me $97 if I do take it there an get one of these machines for 80 on CL

  17. I saw this olympic bear I wanted and I spent $50 at the machine and did not get it. I been playing for years and spent $600-$700 and have not won yet. I called the company and they say the bear costs $199.95 for one. No one can win at the claw machines in our Wal-Mart store.

  18. I’m curious about these things because a local pizza place in my town recently got a new claw machine in their arcade. Its full of Naruto plushies. (Naruto is a very popular cartoon).
Anyway, I really wanted one, and it was only .50 for two tries so I tried, but the claw wouldn’t grip the plush enough to pick it up.

    Anyway, my question is…

I already know about the fact that claw machines are fixed to where the claw will only grip hard enough to grab something every certain amount of plays. And I know the way people say you can win at them is by waiting to see if someone wins, then counting the number of times it takes for someone else to win. So don’t bother explaining that to me.

    BUT

Is this how how all claw machines work? Because I’ve seen people win at them multiple times in a row.

And my friend knows somebody that is apparently “skilled” at claw machines, and he can get something out of them every time he plays. How is this possible if the claw machines are really set up that way?

    What do you think?

Have you ever won at one of these things?

    How?

    *************
And I know that you can buy Naruto plushies on the internet, but I would rather not. Most are way too expensive for a stuffed toy.

  20. Those claw machines are so frustrating. I just want to win, and I think there is a way to do it.

  21. Is their a way to cheat at the claw machine.once i seen a guy drag it across without the claw picking it up how do i do that??

  22. Has anyone ever gotten the big prize? Is there a trick to the claw machine to grab the big prize?
